The Hawaiian Massangeana is a far superior plant to that of its mainland and Costa Rican counterparts. The smaller caliper cane coupled with the volcanic cinder/peat soil media and more vigorous root system provides the plant with a more stable growing platform. Over time, due to the ever increasing weight of the foliated head and slowly deteriorating high peat soils, other Mass canes will begin to wobble and fall out of the pot. The Hawaiian Massangeana will hold true to form for years in its indoor environment.
